Riot makes earning ranks in LoL more fun from next update

Changes to ranked games in upcoming update 13.4 What exactly will LoL developers change?

Ranked play is the main reason for many players to play League of Legends. The rank and earning more points can be quite a motivation to play another game. For some time, however, quite a few players have been complaining that ranked games have drawbacks, and the developers have finally decided to address one of the biggest problems.

It’s about the time it takes to win the next division – small increments for victories made it necessary, on average, to win 7 games in a row to get into the promo series. What will it look like from the release of patch 13.4?

How will getting ranks change?

The developers have released another video with a lot of relevant information. Among other things, the two designers announced plans to revamp the two older characters, changes in the price of heroes, or that more attention will be paid to consistency in the storyline between games and events.

There were quite a few comments in the thread on Reddit, and some of them belonged to the Rioter, who answered fans’ questions or wrote about things not mentioned in the video. It was announced by Riot Meddler that the number of LPs gained and lost for each match will change in the upcoming patch.

One thing that we missed from the video I figure might also be of interest coming in patch 13.4 is that we’ll be increasing LP gains/losses, from an average of 15 to an average of 22. Should get people to appropriate ranks faster. We’re making the change based off feedback received and because we’ll have two seasons in ranked this year instead of just one like we used to, so doesn’t seem appropriate to stick with the same tunings

The change will significantly affect how quickly ranks are earned, so playing ranked games should be more enjoyable from the next patch. From an average of 7 games needed for a promotion, the number has been reduced to 5. So playing will be more rewarding, and a day of rank grind will be more fruitful if all goes according to plan.
