Riot is keeping an eye on these two League of Legends champions in particular. Who is it and what changes might they receive?
Which characters require special attention from the creators of League of Legends?
Update 12.10, which hit the servers on May 25, has mixed up a lot. Some fixes hit the servers just a day after the patch was released, and now fans can learn about the designers’ further plans. A list of heroes, items, and systems to be affected by the changes in the upcoming 12.11 update has been released. Still, not all the heroes who grabbed their attention received direct changes.
Who else is Riot looking at?
After posting a list of the upcoming fixes for patch 12.11, one Rioter wrote a bit more about the upcoming changes.
Riot Phroxzon, who works on balance in League of Legends, among other things, explained why Brand is receiving the changes in Update 12.11 and announces that Gangplank will soon see some improvements.
Brand went up significantly in the patch and is OP in average play. The Liandries nerf is not too big.
GP being looked at for 12.12 (13?), larger frustration changes and incentives to build crit that aren’t damage
- ALSO – Zeri will get buffs in patch 12.1 in LoL. More damage, less CD and “W” critting through walls
The studio has specific plans for Gangplank, and players will soon learn the details of the planned fixes. At the moment, the champion’s win rate is very close to 50%. It went up by around 0.7 percent over the previous patch. The biggest problem, however, is the ban rate, which exceeds 20% in both updates 12.9 and 12.10, making Gangplank one of the most banned champions as of now.
The creators want to address this by providing the hero with non-damage benefits from building a critical hit chance. In addition, Brand, who is already receiving the changes in Update 12.11, may receive further nerfs if the issued patch is not enough to correct the champion’s strength.
