Riot has created a special queue in LoL, which only a few can enter and in which there is no toxicity

This is a very interesting step, because although few have access to the new queue, it shows a certain direction that Riot has taken.
Few people know, but Riot in LoL has recently created a special type of queue. Only selected people have invitations there, and in order to get there, you need to pass initial verification, for which some of the best players in the world are responsible.
This verification includes, inter alia, the assessment of behavior. This means that there are absolutely no signs of toxicity in this queue. Interestingly, the queue is only open at specific times, and the matchmaking process takes place via the Discord server.
The queue has its own ranking:
What is this elite queue?
We wrote a few months ago that Riot would want to create something like this, but hardly anyone believed it. From February 7, there is a special queue dedicated to NA players, which has some interesting aspects.
This is the championship queue:
- In order to get there, you need to undergo verification, both in terms of “qualifications” and behavior during matches.
- All manifestations of toxicity, unsportsmanlike behavior are reported to a specially created group called “council”.
- The queue is only open at certain times. You can play from 9:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m. EST, on Mondays 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. EST.
- Game invitations are sent on a special Discord server.
- Moreover, playing there comes with a payoff. In total, the prize pool is $ 400,000 and is divided into 3 seasons, 7 splits. The queue has a summer and autumn season. In addition, there is also a Preseason.
Sounds exclusive? Well, it is. This is Riot’s proposal to take care of the NA scene. Access to this queue, called the champions’ queue, is primarily for professional, but also semi-professional players – LCS academies and TOP 16 amateur teams from NA.
Can something like this arise in the EU? It is possible, but it should be considered a test. Very interesting, but still a test. This is another information from leaks that is actually confirmed. Riot made a non-toxicity queue aimed at the professional scene, and you can expect it won’t stop there.
