Riot has commented on the Essence Emporium in LoL. There is no good news

LoL developers have decided to answer players’ questions about the Essence Emporium.

It’s been 8 months since the Blue Essence Emporium was used in League of Legends. So players are starting to ask the developers how work on the planned Essence Emporium update is going.

The long silence was broken by one of the employees, who spoke out in a post on Reddit. Unfortunately, he doesn’t have any good information but claims that they haven’t forgotten about the project.

Essence Emporium 2.0

There are two currencies in the League: free, which is Blue Essence, and premium, which is Riot Points. The former is mainly used to purchase characters. However, their amount is limited, and players have already kept a considerable amount of BE on their accounts.

For this reason, every few months the developers introduced the Essence Emporium. A store where the community could buy chrome, icons, and other miscellaneous items with the currency they earned by playing matches.

The 12.2 update introduced the last such opportunity, after which a change to the Emporium was announced. The store was to be improved and put back into use for players. However, time passed, and news about it was lost until now. Riot GalaxySmash commented on it in a thread on Reddit.

The players’ reactions need no description. Just look at the first comment under the employee’s post:

It’s hardly surprising that the community reacted just that way. Riot has a number of projects that were supposed to return, and they are still working on them. The first best example here is Nexus Blitz, which was supposed to be brought back in 2022, and it’s 2023 and still not here.
