The developers have announced that they want to remove the add-on on ARAM, which was really annoying to a lot of players.
The pre-season in League of Legends brought a lot of news, including a sizable Howling Abyss update, which was supposed to not only bring a breath of fresh air to dedicated ARAM fans but also attract new players to the mode.
Quite quickly it turned out that not every change appealed to the community. In fact, it can be said that some of them were really annoying. Players asked for the update to be rolled back or reworked to make it more balanced.
It turns out that Riot actually wants to roll back an element of the new ARAMs. When will this happen?
More changes on ARAM
Isaac “Azael” CB, pro gamer and caster, wrote a post on his Twitter in which he lamented that the falling turrets on Howling Abyss are a terrible addition.
Can someone tell me who thought turret rubble was a good idea for ARAM?!
It is worth mentioning that he is not the only one complaining about this addition. The fact that the new solutions “ruined” Howling Abyss was written about much earlier, even a few days after the novelty was introduced. Players complained that the pre-season update was annoying and upset the balance of the mode, which until now had been associated with fun and a nice break from Summoner’s Rift.
One of the Rioters – Riot Maxw3ll – responded to the caster’s post, informing that the disliked addition from Howling Abyss will soon be removed.
We’re removing it in 13.5 or 13.6. Experiment as a part of the ARAM Preseason. I think it was an interesting mechanic that ultimately led to more degenerate states than value it provided.
In the comments under Rioter’s post, there was no shortage of player opinions, from which one can read that the vast majority are pleased with the developers’ decision.
