Such situations do not happen very often. Riot lost one of their YouTube accounts.


Everyone who follows information about YouTube knows very well that hackers have been actively taking over accounts of popular YouTubers for several years and then publishing content often related to crypto there. It’s very rare for someone to take over a company’s channel, and even more rarely to hack someone with over a million subscribers.

In this case, it affected Riot. It is not known how, but the studio lost one of its official channels – League of Legends LATAM. In total, there were over 1.3 million subscriptions. At the moment, the channel does not exist.

Youtube channel removed

The pattern is exactly the same as it has always been – a channel has been taken over and all videos have been deleted. The name changed and crypto streaming started. Even before the name change, it looked like this:

Despite the fact that Riot is mentioned here, Google decided to ban and then completely remove the channel. Probably it can be recovered, but only after Riot gets to know how someone managed to take it over.
