Riot confirms that Udyr built for Lethality will be changed. What exactly does one of LoL’s developers write?

Udyr for Lethality will be nerfed. However, people will have to wait for the changes for a while.

Recently the League of Legends community has become very loud about Udyr. It’s all due to a specific build, in which the mythical item is the Prowler’s Claw designed with assassins in mind. In assumptions, this is at odds with the specifics of the champion in question, who is supposed to be a rather sturdy fighter, but in practice, the item allows one to kill practically any opponent in no time.

The hero is certainly a problem, but players who don’t like its current state were not happy after reading the roster for update 12.23, which will arrive on December 7 and is the last to hit League of Legends this year. There is no mention of Udyr in it, so fans will have to get used to his new build for a while yet. However, Riot is not remaining completely passive and is making its position known to the community.

Riot on Udyr for Lethality

You can learn about what exactly Udyr with Prowler’s Claw can do from another article (Udyr from LoL with the item for assassins is wreaking havoc. How is this even possible?). The hero according to the statistics available on the web is doing really well. The champion wins more than 53% of games while maintaining a relatively high pick rate of 7%.

This state of affairs does not please players, who think that one-shotting Udyr with a mythical item for assassins that simultaneously builds him as a tank is unfair.

One of the studio’s employees addressed the whole situation, writing that the champion will be weakened, but this will only happen in update 13.1, which will not be released until next January.

Udyr, we’re not ignoring him; just need a bit of time to test some changes that will go out in 13.1. We want to keep his AP Fighter, Tank, Fighter, Leth builds intact, viable and differentiated.

Lethality build becomes more reasonable if he can’t also one shot tanks.

From the statement we can learn that Riot is looking at the situation and plans to weaken the build for Lethality, but does not want to completely eliminate it. Udyr builds will continue to be playable, but will no longer be able to kill a tank in the blink of an eye. Nevertheless, the changes will have to wait a while.
