Rem’Ora is to be a new Void champion in LoL, according to leaks. Leakers list potential skills

League of Legends

What have the players been able to find out about the new LoL champion so far?

There is more and more information about the champion coming to LoL on the web. At this stage, most of the news comes from leaks, so normally you have to approach them with a grain of salt.

Some big news about the jungler is its potential name – Rem’Ora. It has already appeared in a few leaks, so this is probably the right time to mention it.

A new character in LoL

According to the official short announcements, a character from the void will go to League of Legends. Leakers say it will be a woman, but this information has not yet been confirmed. She is supposed to be a jungler, a short trailer of hers was presented earlier this year, in which she took over the body of a Riot employee.

According to preliminary information and leaks, it should form swarms, similarly to Malzahar, but in a much more advanced way. In addition, she is to be a humble servant of the mother of the void who wants to take over the world. Perhaps this means that the Void jungler will be bursting into League of Legends with its own army of creatures. Players suggest that a short sentence about it from the Roadmap for September 2021 may refer to this:

That’s all we’ve got for today. Our next update will be at the start of next year where we’ll have a lot to share, including more details on the new villainous support, the next VGU planned after Udyr, as well as an overwhelming new jungler that should fill a void in all your hearts.

It is hard to find anything else as overwhelming as a huge army of creatures pushing specific lines. Here was the theory that she would be able to build her own Zz’rot portal – a long-removed item that could summon void creatures that pushed minions and turrets. If it actually has such a mechanic, the character will be a perfect match for strategists who plan a match.

There are also theories that they will not be specifically her own beings. She would transform jungle monster camps and then send them to the line. Additionally, her ultimate will be a combination of Viego and Renata; taking control of your opponent and attacking her allies. This, however, seems abstract and unlikely, but not out of the question.

Leakers also know what the heroine is supposed to look like. She should be modeled based on Omen. The hero was supposed to be in the game many years ago, but the project was eventually abandoned. Now, after the upgrade, she is supposed to appear in the form of a female Void jungler.

The community has also found connections with beings already known from the Void. Among other things, they were mentioned in the short story “Feast of the Prophet”.

Meir feels something like a drill being driven into his brain. He had looked for maybe a half-second into the prophet’s face, and seen within his forehead something… shifting? No, that can’t be right. Malzahar’s entire skull was thin, fleshy webbing, with something… horrible inside. A light within a light, pulsating outward. Spreading. Hungry.

In addition, Kai’Sa fought them in the short story Hollowspun, where he appears with Taliyah, and it is these two heroines of the adventure that players could see in the animation announcing the current season.

Another screech. A voidling creature emerges from the other side of the passage. Kai’Sa has spent years fighting and observing and cataloging voidlings. This is not one she’s seen before. The creature’s smooth, rounded body, injured from her missile, deforms as it opens its long lower jaw. Its mouth is filled with translucent needle-like teeth jutting out at dangerous angles. Its sides expand and contract like it’s breathing.

Or taking in scent, she thinks as it turns. No eyes, but it can still find me. She takes aim as the sun dips below the horizon. The voidling begins… to glow. Something—a tongue?—emerges from its mouth and emits a soft bluish light, looking like the hanging lamps in humans’ mines. Haven’t seen a voidling do that before. She notices that its injury is glowing, too.

Guess I’ll call it a Lamplight. She lets a missile fly. The Lamplight’s posture changes. It lets out a high, sustained shriek and dodges Kai’Sa’s blast. Dammit. Kai’Sa lines up another shot.

The entire tunnel behind it blooms with blue light. Hundreds of Lamplights join the first, mouths open, tongues raised and glowing. Kai’Sa forces herself to breathe slowly. She’s fought worse odds. All in one spot. Excellent. Kai’Sa unleashes a barrage, hoping to take out all the voidlings at once.

In the time it takes the missiles to cross, the voidlings spill out like dust, clinging to the walls of the chasm as the barrage whistles past them harmlessly.

With this in mind, some have suggested that the newest champion will have just such a glowing army that can be controlled. It is also supposed to change forms. Until now, players are wondering about such possibilities:

  • A beautiful woman that turns into a monster – for example, during the game, under the influence of subsequent eliminations or death.
  • A monster that turns into a woman.
  • A monster that takes a different form of a monster.

The mysterious swarm has also been spotted on Kassadin’s recently updated splash art.

At the moment, that’s all we know about the new character. Leakers are expecting it in Update 12.8, and it will be released on official servers on April 27. However, this information is not officially confirmed, so it may turn out that the previous suspicions were wrong. So you should not take them literally, but with a grain of salt.
