New item combination for a durability upgrade. The pros choose BOTRK and Frostfire Gauntlet.
A few months ago, in Patch 12.10, League of Legends had a huge durability update. Heroes deal less damage and have more HP. The players have a good answer for that.
Professionals began to choose and build around two subjects – BOTRK and Frostfire Gauntlet. It turns out that they work really well together, and it’s hard to defeat a character who wields these two items.
BOTRK and Gauntlet combo
New tactics and meta often come from the best players and their analysts. It is not surprising that it is the professionals who can observe new methods of building heroes.
This time it was noticed that many of them choose items for skirmishers in an uncharacteristic way. These include, for example, Jax, Irelia, Yone, or even Viego.
Pros started using a weird build. They replaced Divine Sunderer which dealt HP percentages of the opponent’s Blade of The Ruined King and added Frostfire Gauntlet or Sunfire Aegis to protect against damage.
Thanks to this, opponents have little chance of winning with such an armed hero. BOTRK allows you to constantly deal damage percentage and drown the enemy, while the mythical gauntlet slows the target and gives protection. You can also replace it with Aegis Sunfire, which will slowly burn enemies standing next to it.
It is worth testing the new tactic, which is growing in popularity before it becomes nerfed. It will be perfect for skirmishers that deal damage from auto-attacks, and these will be found mainly in the top lane.
