One of Jarvan’s abilities from League of Legends is misspelled. What should be changed?
Jarvan’s skill, which is actually much weaker than it would appear from his description.
Each League of Legends hero has access to five abilities. Before the game, you should familiarize yourself with them through the description of the skills on the bar. There you can find detailed information on damage, duration, and cooldown.
However, there have been occasions in the past where it has been found that the numbers in the description do not necessarily match the damage actually inflicted by the champion. The same situation occurs with Jarvan, whose one of the abilities calculates shield awarded to him in a completely different way than it is written in the description. What exactly is the problem?
Jarvan’s W description
Some players view a hero as if they only had 3 activated abilities. His W is judged by many as useless. A significant reason for this may be that the ability is actually much weaker than the description shows.
If a hero is in the middle of an enemy team, he should receive 5×172 shield. It turns out that the value of the shield is calculated in a different way – 140 + (1.2% bonus health x the number of enemies hit). Players are asking the developer to correct the description or the feature used by the ability, as the current state of affairs is confusing Jarvan’s new players.
TheeSpork user decided to investigate the situation a bit more closely and noticed that the problem appeared already in season 8 when the bonus shield value was separated from the base one. Nevertheless, players feel that around 150 bonus shield is far too little for standing right in the center of the enemy team later in the game.

Fans of this champion hope that he will receive an appropriate skill boost. Even though the hero is strong enough with his current skill set, he is doing relatively poorly. Adjusting the W to work as it is written in the tooltip would certainly get it closer to a 50% win rate.
