Players recall Faker’s hilarious reaction to the theft of the pentakill during a professional match

The community recalled an unlucky esports action to which Faker reacted in a specific way.

It goes without saying that scoring a five-time kill in League of Legends is always a joy. It does not matter whether such an action takes place on a standard, ranked or ARAM – it is always something that evokes positive emotions and is often suitable for capturing and publishing on the Internet.

Pentakills acquired by ordinary players are often popular, incl. on Reddit. It is easy to imagine that a similar action on a professional stage would enjoy incomparably greater publicity.

Especially if it was done by a person who is considered an esports legend, and his every move is followed by tens of thousands of fans from around the world. It’s about Faker, of course. Unfortunately, the Korean was not lucky enough and his pentakill was stolen by a teammate. How did the most popular LoL player in history react to this?

Faker and his failed pentakill

The described situation took place some time ago, because it happened during one of the games between the KDF and T1 teams as part of LCK Spring 2022.

In the 24th minute of the match, both teams fought each other in the mid lane. Faker, playing as Viktor, scored a triple kill, and it seemed that the penta was at hand. Only Lee Sin with a small amount of health and Yuumi remained. The Korean was already approaching the enemy to finish them off quickly, but at the last moment allied Nidalee finished off Lee Sin, thus taking away the chance for a penta.

The action got really popular and many players focused only on what was going on at Summoner’s Rift. Viewers did not hide their sadness or disappointment – fans of the LoL legend very much wanted Faker to get this pentakill. However, not everyone has analyzed the facial expressions of professionals. It turns out that the aforementioned e-athlete reacted to the whole action in a rather specific way.

One of the Reddit users reminded about the described match and uploaded a fragment of the video showing individual T1 players.

The author of the post emphasized that it is worth paying special attention to Faker’s face right after his penta was stolen.

Commentators were impressed with how the professional player reacted to this unfortunate situation. Some emphasized that the Korean shows just how special he is at such moments – other people would probably raise their voices or sit with an upset face. Faker, on the other hand, remains calm, and his comment on the stolen penta is a blink of an eye.
