Master Yi is already relatively balanced according to Riot. How are the creators of LoL referring to this?

What does one of Riot’s employees say about Master Yi?

In Update 12.13, Master Yi received quite a few fixes. The main focus was on his W-Meditate, but the change that made the biggest difference to his stats was the increase in his basic attack range. For this reason, the patch was really controversial, with many fans accusing Riot of not knowing what they were doing. This was, in a way, confirmed by the premiere of the update, in which Master was sensational.

The champion did exceptionally well, achieving a win rate of up to 57%. The creators had to react quickly and issue a hotfix, which finally restored the hero to normal (After several dozen hours, Riot has to save itself with nerfs. 3 LoL characters with debuffs).

Designers are happy that they don’t have to worry about the situation that much, and players can find out about this through an entry published by one of the Rioters.

Rioter’s entry on Master Yi

Caitain Gameplay – designer at Riot Games shared a screenshot that shows the stats for Master Yi in the jungle in both higher and lower divisions. The win rate is no longer as impressive as it was right after the 12.13 release, which shows that the hotfixes achieved the desired effect.

Riot is so at ease that they kind of joke about the hero’s current situation and say that fans can now inform Faker that the champion is also doing well in mid and that he should test him.

Yi finally saved in high elo? Someone tell Faker it’s time for Yi Mid.

The creators will probably watch the champion for some time so that he does not get out of control. Currently, the hero’s average jungle win rate is almost 52% with a relatively high pick rate of 9.5%. Players much more often decide to ban him – the ban rate exceeds 34%.
