Malphite will be remade? An employee thinks he could use a visual change.
The Shard of Monolith is one of the oldest characters in League of Legends and has only changed slightly since its release. For this reason, many players say the hero is a bit dated.
A well-known Riot employee with the nickname Reav3 thinks similarly. In several entries on Reddit, he stated that he actually needs some changes, not gameplay, but visual.
Possible rework of Malphite
Malphite was released in 2009, which makes him a classic character and widely associated with the League. Although his skills have been slightly improved in the past, they still do not differ significantly from their original version. It turns out that it can stay this way for a long time because Riot sees no problem with it.
On the other hand, the employee with the nickname Reav3 aimed at something else. It is about “VU” or “ASU”, meaning “visual update” and “graphics and sustainability update”. He believes that one of these should be applied to Malphite.
Turns out Riot thinks the monolith is still a good hero but in need of some visual changes. This means that players don’t have to worry about his classic skills. Perhaps in the future, he will receive improvements to his appearance, but at the moment there are no signs that developers will be working on them.
