LoL players were complaining a lot about the frames, so Riot decided to change them. This is what they look like now
What do the revamped frames for the ranks look like? Did the League of Legends developers manage to satisfy the community?
League of Legends regularly receives fixes that players do not always like. Obtaining new ranks and climbing the ranked ladder is associated with adequate rewards. Some of them are awarded at the end of the split and others at the end of the season. Riot has decided to assign rank-related frames to players on an ongoing basis.
The design of the frames and emblems representing each rank was not warmly welcomed by players when it was revealed. Relatively shortly after the season starts, Rioter shares the changed versions of the frames.
What will the corrected frames look like?
Jordan ‘BarackProbama’ Checkman, the Lead Designer on the Riot Games Competition and Gameplay Team, shared upcoming League of Legends fixes that will change the frames that represent each player’s current rank.
Sorry for the slightly messy graphic here, but wanted to share that we are making updates to the loading screen ranked borders based on your feedback!
Some Details:
- Rendering quality improved
- Contrast between background/champions improved
- Pulled the colors for Iron, bronze, and gold further apart
- Amped up value (brightness) on silver
- Re-added purple tones to Diamond to make it a bit more chromatic
These are targeted for patch 12.5.
The changes are planned for update 12.5, which is expected to be on live servers on March 2. While the change is not really important, it will be appreciated by players who pay attention to such details.
