After the lackluster cinematic everyone was accusing Riot of putting League in auto pilot mode. Riots response was the only way to solve this problem is delivering content as the season progressed. Have they actually done anything since then? Because it seems like little has come out and what has come out was announced with or before season 13.

The beginning of the current season in League of Legends was not the best. The biggest controversy was the “cinematic”, which the whole community was waiting for. Fans are used to the fact that every year Riot prepares something that induces goosebumps and impresses with the audiovisual setting. This time it was not the case. The season trailer turned out to be a total flop, which earned it hundreds of thousands of negative comments and dislikes – LoL’s worst “cinematic” ever? Even Riot decided to apologize to players and explain.
The developers admittedly promised that the new season would bring a lot of interesting attractions, better events, and a whole lot of interesting content. How much of this has actually been realized?

In the comments, people began to wonder whether the current season actually brought anything interesting, or whether League of Legends is having a really bad time at the moment and Riot is duplicating old solutions.
After the preseason changes, so far, we had 1 champion release and 1 VGU. We are almost halfway through the season. All the events and passes have been the same skin releases everyone has been complaining about.
The only interesting content outside of gameplay was the small stories directly related to the VGU and the new champion. We got 1 piece of story that wasn’t expected, and that was Katarinas comic. We also got 1 cinematic, but it was connected to the skin release.
Players are quite critical of what the developers have given them in recent months. Strongly noticeable is the complaint about events and passes, which were supposed to be improved so that they did not duplicate old patterns. Unfortunately, this has not happened.
After all the promises after the controversial “cinematic” we still have not received what was promised. They were either lying or, if you want to keep into the copium, are still to come.

I forgot about the April fools event. It was very fun. Even if simple, it didn’t need to be anything revolutionary. It was well implemented, and for the large parts, well received by the comunity
