K’Sante doesn’t meet the expectations of LoL players? According to some, he’s the worst champion in the game

League of Legends’ newest hero didn’t please the community. Is he doing that badly?

K’Sante is the latest character to appear on Summoner’s Rift during this year’s World Championship. The character has been announced for quite some time and many people have been anticipating his release.

It’s safe to say that Pride of Nazumah has stirred up a huge controversy among the League of Legends community. Both in terms of his skill set and different approach to being a tank, but also through lore and the LGBT+ theme. It seemed that such publicity would be positive and that the release of the champion would prove to be a huge event that would attract players.

What was it actually like? It turns out that while still in the testing stage on PBE, K’Sante was called one of the worst champions and many people said he was a complete failure. Why? What do his current statistics look like?

K’Sante’s current situation in LoL

K’Sante was struggling while still on the test server. Despite receiving pre-release buffs on PBE, he still did not meet players’ expectations.

The character was supposed to be a top lane character that would require players to be highly skilled and make the right decisions. Riot announced that he was a champion for the discerning, who are not afraid of challenges. Unfortunately, it turned out that the newest tank performs poorly, and for the time being it’s better not to pick him.

At the moment, according to sites with statistics, such as lolalytics.com, the hero wins just over 43% of games, which is a really bad result – one of the worst in the entire League of Legends.

To make matters worse, the result was even worse over the weekend, as some sites reported that it did not even exceed 42%.

Some people say that the low win ratio is due to the fact that K’Sante requires a good familiarity with his skills and style of play. The high entry threshold may severely lower the win ratio, which is expected to even out in the future once fans become well acquainted with his abilities.

Riot tried to salvage the situation and released buffs for the champion even before his official release. Unfortunately, the community says it’s not enough, as properly balancing the character requires much more work.

Only is it actually only about balance? On Reddit you can find various posts in which players complain about some elements of the character’s skill set, but also about its overall design. People laughed at the proportions of the champion’s body, complained about his voice or expressions, or claimed that Riot exaggeratedly praised his abilities, while on Summoner’s Rift he is simply bland.

K’Sante is the worst character ever released. I just played a few games with him and let me tell you, he is the weakest character released in recent times (I count Zeri, Vex, etc.). He has no range, his gap closers don’t work as they should. He has no damage, he’s also not properly tanky. And his voice doesn’t match his face….

He is a joke and I hope he will be changed soon.

The Rioters explained to the players that K’Sante is a challenging character, as he expands the role of a tank and cannot be treated like other heroes in this category. The developers believe that the poor situation of the new champion will still improve. It’s all about the new season and changes in items, but also getting used to his play style and getting players more familiar with his skills.

However, if the hero continues to perform so poorly, Riot will not hesitate to grant him appropriate buffs. For the time being, fans need to practice playing with him if they want to take full advantage of his potential in the future.
