Katarina’s “on-hit” effect is causing problems for players, should it be removed? “What items am I supposed to build?”

League of Legends

The LoL community has issues with Katarina’s damage that is hard to counter. A solution was suggested.

Katarina is one of those characters that enjoy great popularity and has a large group of mains who are devoted to her. A good Kata player is able to win a match on his own in low divisions, especially if the opponents do not have crowd control, which is why many people do not like her and often ban her.

The heroine is extremely mobile and deals a lot of area damage. The players who play against her do not like the fact that there are different types of this damage, due to the “on-hit” effect. Now a solution to this problem has been proposed.

Kata without an on-hit effect?

Yesterday, there was a post on Reddit from one of the players frustrated after playing a game against the Sinister Blade. As they claim, she has one big problem and it is difficult to counter it. It’s about an ultimate that throws a huge amount of daggers for 2.5 seconds, each dealing 75% less damage from its on-hit effect.

One of the items that have this effect is the Divine Sunderer. Additionally, it gives skill acceleration and health points. This makes Kata not only strong but also resistant.

If we look at the players’ statistics, they actually most often choose Divine as their main item and it gives them the highest rate of matches won.

Commentators have an easy solution for this. One Redditor commented that it was enough to remove this effect from her ult and the problem would simply be solved.

At the moment she is too flexible of a pick. She can build various items and deal all available damage. Therefore, building appropriate items on her is impossible. Will Riot comply with community requests? It is hard to say at the moment, the heroine does not qualify for nerfs. She appears on average in 10% of the games and wins less than 50% of the matches.
