It is more profitable to play Disco Nunu than him. Winrate dropped to a record 38%. “Playing him is trolling”

A really weird case of one of the characters from LoL – maining him makes you lose more.

Ryze appeared on Summoner’s Rift on February 21, 2009. Today he is one of the most iconic heroes of League of Legends. Over the years, he has appeared in many cinematics, received various changes, renewed splash art, and a really large number of skins (he currently has 13).

There is a joke in the community about “Ryze’s rework”, which was created precisely because the champion was frequently modified by Riot.

It is safe to say that the mentioned character is unique in its own way. Balancing him has been a problem for years. In the hands of professionals, Ryze is a powerful weapon, but the opposite is true for ordinary players.

One fan was analyzing the win rates of different champions and noticed something disturbing. From his observations, maining the Rune Mage does more harm than good. Why?

Ryze and the tragic win ratio of his mains

A player named TheAngryCactus analyzed the win rate of individual LoL heroes. This time it’s not about the general win ratio, but the number of games won among the mains of a given champion.

The user pointed out that Ryze is at the bottom of the list, which means that he wins the fewest games – only 38.6%. As you can see – this result is really bad.

The player wrote:

Ryze Mains Currently Have a 38.6 Percent Win Rate in Plat+. Almost all champions, when played for 50+ ranked games increase in win rate or change only marginally, with Kled being a bit of an outlier slipping backwards slightly with experience, and Ryze being a major outlier dropping from an already abysmal 42.9 percent average win rate to an absurd 38.6 percent in platinum+ sorting by all regions.

In other words, maining the champion causes you to win LESS than a casual player or pocket pick.

I think we are witnessing some sort of mass Joker – esque mental collapse for Ryze players.

Admittedly, the observations are quite interesting. The hero in question has long been in a rather bad place and has been the most losing character in League of Legends several times. Few people came close to his level.

On lolalytics.com you can see that the Rune Mage is the only one in tier D-. According to some, playing him is comparable to trolling. Suffice it to mention that Disco Nunu wins more games.
