In patch 12.14, a long-forgotten hero will return to the jungle in LoL. He will clean camps much faster

League of Legends

Riot announced changes in patch 12.14. With it, a slightly forgotten hero is to return to the jungle.

Riot is still struggling with the deficit of players for one of the most important roles in the game, the jungle. Now, instead of introducing a new hero taken from the mid or top, it was decided to remember the old one.

Namely, it’s about Pantheon. Currently, he is not doing the best in this role and is chosen by only 1% of players there. Speeding up his monster camp clearing is about to change that.

Does Pantheon return to the jungle?

From time to time, the creators try to introduce something new to the jungle to increase its popularity among the community. It is not played willingly and there is a demand for a good jungler, which is the most important role in the game. This time the bet was on Pantheon, whose damage against monsters was increased.

Thanks to this, he will be able to deal damage to monsters by as much as 50%, which will speed up his clearing and allow for faster ganks.

He is currently doing quite well, and he wins 48.8% of matches on all lines in LoL. However, when it comes to the jungle, it is 47% for just 1,400 games. For comparison, in the top lane it is already almost 13,000 games played.

So it can be said that no one is playing this role. However, this was not always the case. On the popularity chart, the peak is recorded in August, September, October, and November 2019. Then his popularity slowly decreased until January 2021. Then the hero jumped again and fell quickly.

Will the update, which will be officially released on Wednesday, July 27, change that? Probably for some time Pantheon in the jungle will see an increase in popularity and if he is not too strong, he has a chance to be a regular pick. Especially since he works well as a gromp and golem vanquisher.
