Faker explains why he chooses Ryze, even though the hero has a near-zero win rate in the tournament
During this year’s LCK 2022 Spring Split, Ryze is doing really bad. Faker chooses him anyway.
The LCK championship began on January 12 in Korea. In the 2022 Spring Split, T1 had a hard-won victory against Hanwha Life Esports. Despite winning the game, the team lost one match. This was not Faker’s first game to lose during this tournament. During the ongoing championship, his team lost 4 matches, and in three of them, Faker chose this specific hero.
The champion is not doing very well at this tournament – his win rate is only 15.4% with 2 wins and 11 losses. For this reason, questions arose towards Faker as to why he chose this particular hero.
Why is Faker playing Ryze?
In the LCK 2022 Spring Split, Ryze is doing terrible. However, this did not deter Faker from choosing him twice against Hanwha Life Esports. Curious about the choice of one of the best LoL players in the world, the presenters asked the player why he did so.
The T1 captain said that the mid-lane clashes against T1 and HLE had little impact on the final result of the game. As a result, it can be expected that Faker will be aiming for more traction matchups in the upcoming games.
