Changes to mythical items for League of Legends fighters. What does Riot write about them?

Riot on changes to mythic items from League of Legends.

Changes are regularly coming to League of Legends that affect both heroes and items. For the most part, these are minor balancing changes, but every once in a while, fixes are made to affect a larger group of characters, for example. This time it’s about fighters and the mythical items they can equip. What exactly does Riot write about the fixes?

Riot on the changes

The official League of Legends website has released information regarding changes to fighter items. Among other things, plans for Death’s Dance – one of the more popular and powerful League items – were described.

In 13.7 we have a Death’s Dance partial revert—the item is getting back Ability Haste, but the healing amount remains nerfed.

Significant changes for mythical objects were also referenced.

In the longer term, I anticipate significant changes to the Mythic item structure for both item systems, and one of the opportunity spaces we’re considering for Preseason (no promises to ship anything, but we’re exploring it) is towards creating some better ability to tune roles more holistically against each other—for example, differentiating the minions in each lane. We’re finding our current set of tools to be a little too limited and we don’t think simple reverts to things like Teleport make the game better, they just make the game have a different set of problems.

Riot Axes shared additional more detailed information on the aforementioned patches. He wrote that he will start experimenting as soon as the update on which the MSI championship will be played is released.

I think I will experiment a bit after MSI (for example, I will buff mythical items for fighters that are not Sunderer – this one may even be nerfed). However, we don’t have any major changes planned for the coming months.

The Rioter also wrote in another comment that buffs are planned for junglers to compensate for the nerfs issued. At this point, however, nothing more is known on the subject. All the statements indicate that a lot of changes are indeed coming to League of Legends. However, they will appear over time, and some players will have to wait until the preseason.
