After two years, some people still don’t know that /mute all mutes not only players

The known command to combat toxicity should be changed?

For many years, in League of Legends, there has been a command that easily allows you to mute all players in a match. The problem arises, however, when we want to allow our allies to ping.

In this case, we either have to mute them all manually or unmute them after typing this command. The community is wondering why there isn’t one that only blocks chat.

/mute all command not working properly?

For several years in League of Legends, there was a /mute all command that silenced everyone in a match, whether it was an opponent or an ally. However, it only concerned chat and did not limit pings.

For some time now, it blocks not only chat messages but all pings as well. This means that if we really want to progress and focus on winning, we have to unmute them manually. So it is tedious and time-consuming.

Interestingly, this is just a common mistake. There are two commands in the game for mass muting players. It is:

  • /fullmute all
  • /mute all

The former was supposed to mute everything, including pings, and the latter only chat. However, due to an unknown bug that has not been fixed for a long time, they both work the same.
