What information did Riot share about one of the upcoming characters to LoL?
New heroes are regularly coming to League of Legends, and they are interesting to the community not only because players can use new skill sets at their disposal, but also another batch of lore. LoL champions are often related to each other and most of them are assigned the region they come from.
It is already known that the next character to join League will be a Void jungler, but so far Riot has not announced its plans for another champion. The designers decided to satisfy the curiosity of fans in the latest post on rework and premieres of heroes. What is known about the next one?
What is known about the next character from LoL?
The region from which the next hero is to come is Shurima – a desert part of Runeterra, from which characters such as Azir, Sivir, or two brothers – Renekton and Nasus come from.
The empire of Shurima was once a thriving civilization that spanned an entire continent. Forged in a bygone age by the mighty god-warriors of the Ascended Host, it united all the disparate peoples of the south, and enforced a lasting peace between them.
The last hero from this region is Akshan, who joined League of Legends in July 2021. Shurima fans had to wait less than a year for the announcement of the next champion.

At the moment, the exact release date of the character is not known, and the only additional information concerns the role and class for which the designers will create their skill set. The Pride of Nazumah will be a tank whose final role is to be top lane.
