Nevertheless, there is a group of people for whom virtual competition is a job from which they feed themselves and their families. At the largest tournaments, the prize pools are staggering, but what was the total when they were added, and which game could they win the most?
Fortnite, CS and LoL beaten by Dota 2?
The highest total prize pool of any event in the history of any esports game is Dota 2, on which players earned $ 284,435,798.15. This sum is very impressive, especially when you take into account the second place, which is occupied by Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. There are almost 4 times more tournaments in the production of Valve, and yet the total prize pool was over two times less than in Dota, which is exactly $ 133,377,039.73.
It is followed by Fortnite, League of Legends and Arena of Valor.
What about Valorant or PUBG?
Valorant is a relatively new game, so the title is not in the TOP 5. Nevertheless, it ranks seventeenth with the result of $ 9,674,114.09. Fortnite’s competitor PUBG is currently in the sixth position with a result of $ 45,263,702.91.
In the near future, changes in the top five should not be expected, as each of the titles is holding its position quite firmly. However, it can be expected that Riot’s FPS will declass some of the competitors and jump in Arena of Valor’s place in the future.
