Fortnite players will likely be able to make their own skins, but there’s a catch

Tim Sweeney, responding to players’ questions, indicated that there is a chance that players will get the opportunity to create their own skins.
This is something that once seemed impossible. After all, cosmetic items are what keeps Fortnite alive. The business model is based precisely on skins, gliders, backpacks, etc. However, there is a chance that players will get something like a skin creator.
HYPEX, Fortnite’s most popular leaker, recalled a concept from 2018 that was abandoned, but it also shows the ability to customize skins in terms of color.
Will it appear?
HYPEX relayed the words of Tim Sweeney, who said in response to a question about his own skins:
Possibly, but not anytime soon.
Where is the catch in this? This is about the creative mode, and that means that skins would only be playable in it.
It’s unclear how much editing Epic will allow and when. Probably it’s all about creating your own color versions, although who knows – since developers want to make it possible for players to make “their own games” in Creative Mode 2.0, the possibilities of this tool will be huge.
