Fortnite may be banned on Twitch? No, but Epic definitely pissed Twitch off with it

Twitch is a platform that has several vulnerabilities of its own. Epic has recently “used” one of them.

Twitch is a huge platform that couldn’t afford to ban an entire game like Fortnite, but Epic certainly irritated Twitch quite a bit. The streaming platform has a couple of themes better left untouched, and the Fortnite developers did just that.

Anyone who is even a bit interested in Twitch knows the story of the streamer known as Dr. Disrespect. He was banned some time ago, then he sued Twitch, both sides got along, but the streamer was not unbanned.

According to Twitch’s policy, Dr. Disrespect cannot appear on TTV. He cannot appear on other broadcasts, even by being watched by other streamers.

Meanwhile, Epic…

Dr. Disrespect has been a topic that Twitch has largely avoided for many months, and every effort was made to ensure that the streamer was not heard of on TTV itself. Meanwhile, Epic, as if nothing had ever happened, created a Fortnite ad with Dr. Disrespect, which appears on Twitch.

There is no chance that Twitch will ban Fortnite, but surely TTV will contact Epic about it.

In pure theory, Twitch could ban the entire category for it, or possibly the company that released this ad. In practice, this will not happen. It is practically certain, however, that the advertisement will simply be changed.
