Epic will restore an item from 3 years ago to Fortnite. Some people won’t even know what it is
According to the latest challenge information, Epic is looking to bring back the item that was introduced in Update 9.30. It was withdrawn at the start of the 10th season.
It’s pretty funny that some Fortnite players won’t even know what we’re talking about. All because it’s something Epic introduced back in 2019. It didn’t do very well and was retired just a few updates later.
Now the developers have come to the conclusion that they will most likely try again tomorrow. “Air Strike” will come to the game with the content update 20.30.
The Air Strike returns to Fortnite
One of the challenges, which requires calling for an Air Strike on a tank, informs about the return.
What is an Air Strike? It works quite simply. You throw the “container” and a rocket strike is launched at the site. This is what it looked like a few seasons ago:
- A throwing container that emits colored smoke. It is used to mark a missile bombing target.
- After the container falls on the ground, the rockets will arrive after a certain delay.
- Rockets appear approx. 120 m above the container.
- Rockets aim at random points within 9 meters of the thrown container.
- A total of 20 rockets appear.
- Each rocket causes an explosion with a radius of 3.5 meters.
- Each rocket deals 75 damage to players and 200 damage to structures.
- Can be found from floor loot, chests, Supply Drops, Vending Machines, and Llamas.
- Spawns in stacks of 1.
- Maximum 2 pcs in a stack.
- Legendary variant.
Will it work? In the no-building mode, rather not, though who knows. Maybe Epic improved the feature somehow.
