Twitch has another nut to crack. In addition to weird ASMR broadcasts, there are also streams with content that is directly 18+.
The current rules for adult content on Twitch are rather confusing. On the one hand, you cannot put on a bathing suit without a swimming pool next to you, on the other hand, VR transmissions with characters whose behavior does not leave any illusions are allowed.
So far, broadcasts from VRChat have tried to dodge the attention of Twitch and not have obvious references, not be so marked with 18+ content. Sometimes, however, it does not work too well, as exemplified by the clip from the “roflgator” channel.
“18+ scene”, but no ban
Interestingly, Twitch did not ban the channel. This clip is still available normally after a few days. It has collected over 72,000 views and anyone can find it.
There has been much talk in the past that this content can scare advertisers, which is why, for example, wearing a bikini without a swimming pool is not allowed on Twitch. In that case, what will the platform say to this?
For now, it is fully allowed, and transmissions from VRChat still do not receive any restrictions for some reason. In fact, most of the streams are positive there, while many are just about the appearance of the characters and their “presentation”.
