Twitter is no longer an ordinary platform since Elon Musk took it over. The billionaire is playing around with some of the options, changing the logo from a bird to a dog or introducing new additions to monetize his product.
Some of the new owner’s ideas may be innovative, but others can be quite ill-conceived and persistent. Now users are reporting that Twitter is urging people to subscribe to MrBeast.

Some time ago, Twitter users in certain regions got the option to support creators. At the moment it doesn’t work all around the world, but it is promoted quite strongly. It allows you to get a special badge, access to exclusive content, and support your favorite creator with a few dollars.
In short, it is something similar to a sub on Twitch or YouTube. Two days ago, a post appeared on MrBeast’s profile boasting that he got such support from Elon Musk.
Apparently, praise from one of the biggest creators on YouTube, who is not only making videos but also giving away his money, appealed to Elon. Many people who have the subs option enabled report that the platform recommends they subscribe to MrBeast.
The action is reminiscent of one that took place a few years ago, but for PewDiePie, when he battled T-Series for the title of the largest creator on YouTube. He was eventually overtaken, but the “Sub 2 PewDiePie” action will forever be remembered in Internet history.
Perhaps this is also a good option to test new sub-recommendations system before releasing this option to the global market.
