Twitch streamer banned for showing her character “in full”. A very unusual ban

CodeMiko was banned for a really interesting reason. This is, in a sense, the first such ban on Twitch.

CodeMiko’s streams are based on the fact that the streamer uses her virtual character. With the help of advanced technology, her virtual avatar repeats her movements, and the whole thing resembles the concept of augmented reality.

The streamer has recently crossed various borders more and more. Due to the fact that her character is virtual, she can change it in real time. The effects of this are sometimes really “interesting”:

Ban for pushing it too far

CodeMiko has been touching the subject of 18+ for some time now, censoring her character, but directly implying that she is not wearing anything. It had been going through for several weeks, but the latest broadcast turned out to be a violation of the rules. The streamer knew it well, because the title of the stream is “CODEMIKO MIGHT GET BANNED TODAY”.

In fact, these words were prophetic. So what was going on there? The streamer exposed her character completely, which Twitch did not like. Despite the fact that, in theory, censorship is imposed here, even we can’t show this kind of thing. Since we want everyone to see what we did in the original, we have launched an additional address for the uncensored version:

The second material shows that the problem was not only with the censorship but with the general atmosphere on the stream. It’s hard to say what happened there.

So far, it is not known for what period of time the ban was granted and whether it is still possible to lift it off. You can suspect that it is. At worst, we are talking about a perma ban with the possibility of appeal.
