Twitch had such a good idea that it was pulled out after less than 24 hours
Twitch announced yesterday that it is introducing a new feature. The idea has worked so well that it has already been discontinued.
Yesterday it was announced that streamers are getting the ability to manage the so-called “Founder’s Badges”. Most people don’t know what it is, so briefly – it’s a special badge for the first 25 subs on the channel.
Streamer has not been able to manage this in any way so far, which is why Twitch gave them the ability to remove people with this badge, which was passed on to the next viewers. Makes sense? Of course. There is one problem with that.
Something went wrong
The streamers got the whole panel which worked very simply. It was a list of people with a badge, where a trash can was visible next to specific nicknames. After clicking on it, the badge was taken away.
Until then, it makes sense. So why was it turned off? Turns out Twitch didn’t anticipate streamers wanting to remove more than one person. As a result, after deleting one user, the other (next in line) got an email saying that he was getting a badge. The streamers were also removing this person, and people got a little surprised.
Well, the situation is a bit unfortunate. It has been disabled at the moment, but it is likely that Twitch will activate this option again when it deals with the notifications properly.
