A popular football player has blocked a YouTuber who spoke out about being Messi’s biggest fan.
This is a rather surprising turn of events. The football world is unlikely to merge with that of the Internet, although of course footballers often have such huge followings that their words or actions can really make a difference. Will the decision to block one YouTuber change anything? Not likely, but people are reacting quite amusingly.
Messi actually had to learn about who iShowSpeed is. Unless you’ve been living under a rock lately, you’ve certainly heard of this controversial but also very popular YouTuber at least once.
Recently, iShowSpeed recorded a track in collaboration with Kai Cenat, resulting in over 4 million views in 4 days:

iShowSpeed has repeatedly declared that he is Messi’s biggest fan. He would show up at matches, and his streams of watching match broadcasts often made big results in the media – there was screaming, there were tears, and there were really a lot of things going on there.
Now it appears that iShowSpeed has been banned by Messi. A strange situation, because it nevertheless shows that the YouTuber has reached out to the footballer with his behavior.
The reason remains unknown, but one guess is that it’s all about the whole environment that iShowSpeed creates around itself – it’s a person you either love or hate.
