Court in Russia demands 4 million rubles from Twitch for providing false information

A Russian court has ruled that Twitch must pay Russia 4 million rubles, which Twitch has yet to address.
Russia held a trial in which Twitch was found guilty of failing to respond to what Russia claimed was false information regarding the war in Ukraine. This is specifically about the mobilization of troops.
Relatively little is known about this, as it ultimately involves Russia and the laws there, while one can guess that Amazon will not particularly respect this. Russia reportedly notified the material to be removed, and Twitch refused to accept it.
4 million rubles, or around $57,000
It’s unclear whether anyone will ever hear about it again, while as of today it looks like Russia has decided something, and Twitch has not publicly addressed it. It is strictly about Twitch’s lack of cooperation with the removal of content that Russia wanted to get rid of from the service.

This is not the first time Twitch has been sued. Whereas here it looks as if it’s already after the lawsuit, at least that’s according to the official information that is being released to the world. TTV isn’t in the habit of commenting on this kind of thing, so presumably, Amazon will completely avoid commenting on this and wait for an official court battle.
