The news about the Cyberpunk 2077 engine that made everyone sad. This means that the new DLC…

CDPR has officially announced that it is moving to the Unreal Engine, which means some complications with Cyberpunk 2077.

There are several things that emerged from the new information released by CDPR. First of all, the expansion for Cyberpunk 2077 is coming and is expected to be released soon, but the “coming soon” could as well mean a good few months. So it’s not worth getting excited that it’s just a moment.

The worst news from the entire conference is the fact that this DLC to Cyberpunk 2077 will be the last project of the company on the Red Engine. After that, CDPR will start using the Unreal Engine. And while in theory there is nothing amazing about it, in practice it is bad news.

What does this mean for Cyberpunk 2077 players?

In simplest words, since Cyberpunk 2077 is being developed on Red Engine and the add-on will be the last one to come out on this engine, it is clear that it will also be the only one that will be released for Cyberpunk 2077.

Gamers quickly caught it and an international discussion started as to whether CDPR is capable of transferring everything, or, unfortunately, the expansion will actually be the only one.

We would like to remind you that, according to leaks, there will be more Cyberpunk 2077-style games from CDPR, so it is possible that instead of more additions, players will get a new game – but the plan is not for months, but for years.
