It was probably a mini-game that Cyberpunk 2077 eventually gave up on

Many players expected Cyberpunk 2077 to feature something like Gwent. And perhaps there were such plans.

It is known that CDPR, creating Cyberpunk 2077, gave up on many of its plans. This is evidenced by never-used dialogues, information about additional weapons, vehicles, or references to characters that are not in the game.

Among these never released additions, there may also be a mini-game that was supposed to refer in some way to Gwent, known of course from The Witcher.

What’s this mini-game?

In fact, there is not much information about it, but on some promotional materials, or in the game itself, you can find a very characteristic board with pawns.

It looks as if it is actually meant to serve more than just NPC interactions. Players suggest that it may have been a mini-game developed as much, or even more so than Gwent. Obviously, creating something like this would take a time that CDPR had relatively little of.

The only thing left to do is wait for the DLC and hope that maybe there will be something that will somehow refer to Gwent.
