Drivers in Cyberpunk 2077 are now honking at women passing red lights
Yesterday there was an update that made the NPCs now behave very adequately to the situation they are in.
After update 1.5, drivers show more human reflexes. Gamers appreciate such little things, commenting that this is the direction that developers should have gone towards from the beginning.
What exactly is it about? You surely haven’t noticed that after the update, drivers slow down before ascending or descending road – in real life, when visibility would be poor, you would do exactly the same.
A small thing, but makes people happy. But honking at people who cross the street at red lights or in random places can be even more amusing to see.
Drivers can get upset now too
Drivers not only slow down before theoretically uncertain situations, now, in addition to the standard stop, they also honk at pedestrians. Players say that either they are imagining it, or the female NPCs are more likely to cross the road in a dangerous way. It is, however, only a false impression.
CDPR has not eliminated all of the weird vehicle bugs, of course – these still disappear a certain distance and still appear in front of players when they turn around for a while during driving. However, it is compensated by the introduced novelties. For example, you can now see the chases taking place around the city.
Some also mention that now much more often there are NPCs driving cars with only one light on. This, however, is not entirely true.
There are indeed cars driving around the city without a single light but in the literal sense. This is the Columbus V340-F model that has only one lamp.
