Cyberpunk 2077 has many mechanics known from other games. Car theft is nothing special here, just like in GTA.
In Cyberpunk, you can easily steal vehicles, there is no major problem with that. Sometimes, however, players want to perform an action too quickly. Then it is easy to cut into what the community mockingly calls “the method for thieves”.
Of course, when creating this mechanism, CDPR did not think about preventing car theft, but the lack of any confirmation actually results in a lesson that is painful for players’ wallets.
When you want to steal a car too quickly
One of the Reddit users shared his unusual video with other players, where he complains that, by accident, instead of stealing a car, he just bought it.
Can it be counteracted? Yes, it is enough to enter the vehicles from the passenger side. CDPR has already changed it, but there are still problems with it. Therefore, in case of need, when we are not sure, it is better to just approach from the other side.
