Once again, the employees themselves decided that they wanted to reveal some information about what players have been asking en masse lately.
Two concerns have now arisen in the world of Cyberpunk 2077. One is about a new game from the world of The Witcher. The community is somewhat concerned that the new game will have a negative impact on Cyberpunk 2077 and its development process.
The second concern strictly relates to the upcoming expansion pack. From the entry of one of the employees, the players theorized that Cyberpunk 2077 would get only one expansion. The post followed by such rumors reads:
Some considered it to be confirmation of only one big DLC, others said that it was at least one.
What’s the actual story with the Cyberpunk DLC?
Paweł answered questions on his stream. There you could find out that a new game from the Witcher universe has been in development for years and it will have absolutely no impact on Cyberpunk 2077. These are different teams, different people. So here is nothing to worry about.
However, it is different when it comes to potential DLCs. Paweł was unable to confirm or deny anything. We only hear that the official information is the most important, and the team is working hard on the full DLC. Unfortunately, it is still not known whether Cyberpunk 2077 will get more than one.
Chances are, CDPR just hasn’t made a decision yet. It may be that the studio has to assess whether it will be profitable for them and only then start working on the second DLC.
