Twitch, respecting the sanctions imposed by the US, has officially suspended payments to Russian streamers.
Many people of Russian descent are complaining about what they are facing at the moment. There are more and more streamers on social media who complain that although they did not do anything, their payments are blocked.
“Mira” writes directly that in her opinion she got a ban on Twitch for being from Russia. She wrote about it on her social media, and after the suspension was lifted, she is translating it now also during the broadcast.
Twitch suspends payments in Russia
Twitch officially suspended the payments that Russian infuencers were expected to receive. Streamers have already received special e-mails explaining the platform’s position.
The matter is settled here. Russian streamers are not able to withdraw their funds at the moment, so they stream without advertising, without being able to earn money via TTV. Still, many streamers advertise their other social media, or OF.
