One player found a very simple way to get his Sims to finish their computer work.
The Sims 4 has it that Sims in this part of the game very often act as if they were rebellious and usually automatically cancel some of their activities in favor of the sudden desire to make dinner or just standing in the corner and staring at the wall of the room.
This problem has existed from the very beginning of the game, and many players admit that this behavior can drive them crazy because they constantly have to watch their Sims in case they suddenly stop doing something halfway through the activity. The community acknowledges that this is very much the case when a Sim has some computer work to do – whether it’s something for college, a work article, or a new book to be written by a writer.
There are ways to prevent this, and as it turns out, you don’t need to install special modifications to fix such errors. One of the players shared his way of dealing with Sims who are keep walking away from the computer.
What to do against unruly and rebellious Sims?
A Reddit user with the nickname Luca shared their way of dealing with the disobedient Sim. Interestingly, their plan is not very creative at all and does not require any additional mods. All the player did is simply surround the desk where his Sim is sitting with a small fence.

Does it work? Yup. Due to the fact that the Sim is fenced, they will not be able to get distracted by other things in their environment but will finish their work. Only later will the player remove the fence and the Sim will be able to breathe a sigh of relief after the finished article, and the author of the post will no longer be irritated by the fact that she will cancel her actions in the middle of the activity.
