Preview of the Festival of Colors event in Pokemon GO. Everything you need to know

The creators of Pokemon GO have announced that in a few days a new event will appear in the game, during which another species of creature will debut in four different versions.

In addition, players will be able to take part in the collector’s challenge and use interesting bonuses. What is worth knowing about the latest Festival of Colors event?

Festival of Colors in Pokemon GO

The event will start at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, March 15, 2022 and will run until 8:00 PM on Sunday, March 20, 2022.

Oricorio, the Dancing Pokémon, makes its Pokémon GO debut! Keep an eye out, Trainers – the Oricorio you encounter will be of different Styles depending on where they were caught in the world.

Oricorio, in a variety of styles, will appear in the following locations around the world:

  • Baile Style Oricorio: Appearing in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa
  • Pom-Pom Style Oricorio: Appearing in the Americas
  • Pa’u Style Oricorio: Appearing in African, Asian, Pacific and Caribbean islands
  • Sensu Style Oricorio: Appearing in the Asia-Pacific region

Collector’s challenge

There will be a collector’s challenge during the event. For completing it, players will receive the Elite Collector medal, 20,000 XP, 3,000 Stardust, and Oricorio.

Oricorio’s style will depend on where the player is at the end of the challenge.

In addition, the following attractions will appear in the game:

  • The following Pokémon will spawn more frequently in the wild: Drowzee, Horsea, Gligar, Slugma, Taillow, Trapinch, Turtwig, Croagunk, Fletchling, Baile-style Oricorio, Pom-Pom-style Oricorio, Pa’u-style Oricorio, Sensu-style Oricorio.
    • The lucky ones will meet Beautifly, Dustox, and Alomomola.
  • Lure Modules activated during the event will run for 3 hours.
  • There will be some surprises while taking photos. You will be able to find shiny creatures.
  • The opponents of the event will appear in raids:
    • 1-star raids: Jigglypuff, Torchic, Treecko, Mudkip, Rockruff,
    • 3-star raids: Marowak, Alolan Marowak, Chansey, Umbreon, Druddigon,
    • 5-star raid: Tornadus (Therian form),
    • Mega Raid: Mega Lopunny.
  • From Field Research tasks you will be able to get the following Pokemon: Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle, Alolan Grimer, Castform, Burmy.
    • Anyone lucky will hit Oricorio.
    • Additionally, you will be able to get the Mega Energy of Venusaur, Charizard, or Blastoise from this type of quest.
