There was also a new legendary Pokemon, which is well known to everyone who visited Alola in a console game – Tapu Koko. The new legendary creature is unique and has an interesting personality. Those who haven’t played Sun and Moon probably don’t know much about it, so it’s worth taking a look at the most important information about it.
Tapu Koko in Pokemon GO
Tapu Koko is the legendary electric and fairy type Pokemon introduced in Generation VII. He is the divine guardian of Melemele Island. Other islands also have their guardians, which are:
- Tapu Lele,
- Tapu Bulu,
- Tapu Fini.
Tapu Koko has no gender and it is not known if it evolves from or into another Pokemon.
His name may be a combination of the words tapu (Hawaiian – holy) and kokō (Hawaiian cock-crowing onomatopoeia).
This Pokemon is called the divine guardian of Melemele Island. It is known to protect his home, but can be capricious and will not necessarily help those in need. In addition, it is very curious, which makes it willing to approach people and creatures that are of its interest. It has an explosive temper, but immediately forgets what made it mad.
