More creatures from the Hisui region will debut in Pokemon GO. What do you need to know?

The creators of Pokemon GO have announced that new forms of well-known Pokemon will be added to the game soon.


The Hisui region is well known to fans of Pokemon Legends: Arceus. This region represents the old Sinnoh as it was in distant history. In the past of the universe of pocket creatures, not only landscapes were different from what you can explore today. Also, many species of Pokemon looked completely different.

Soon, different forms of famous creatures will appear in Pokemon GO. This, of course, is not all. What is worth knowing about the upcoming event?

Hisuian Discoveries in Pokemon GO

The Hisui Region Event starts on Wednesday, July 27, 2022 and runs until Tuesday, August 2, 2022.

On this occasion, the following attractions are planned:

  • Hisuian Growlithe, Hisuian Qwilfish, and Hisuian Sneasel will make their Pokemon GO debut.

  • The following Pokemon will spawn in the wild: Zubat, Ponyta, Onix, Hisuian Voltorb, Tangela, Eevee, Poryton, Aipom, Hisuian Qwilfish, Wurmple, Kricketot, Buizel, Drifloon, Bronzor, and Croagunk. Anyone lucky enough to come across Electabuzz, Magmar, Octillery and Gible.
  • The game will feature thematic raid opponents:
    • 1-star raids: Sneasel, Roselia, Shinx,
    • 3-star raids: Chansey, Togetic, Kirlia, Whiscash.
  • The following Pokémon will hatch from 7km eggs: Hisuian Growlithe, Hisuian Voltorb, Hisuian Qwilfish, Hisuian Sneasel.
  • The following creatures can be found after completing Field Research tasks: Clefairy, Paras, Psyduck, Magnemite, Cyndaquil, Sneasel, Remoraid, Mantine, Shinx, Burmy, Oshawott, Petilil, Rowlet.
  • The collector’s challenge will return, which will also be related to the theme of the event. After its completion, you will receive additional experience points, Stardust and an Incubator.
  • Players will be able to compete for the Hisui Cup.
    • Pokemon at 1500 CP or lower can compete for the Hisui cup. Only creatures discovered in the Hisui region or with numbers from # 387 to # 493 in the Pokedex may enter the competition.
