A Christmas event in Pokemon GO. What do you need to know about the first part of Pokemon GO Holidays?

The Christmas event will start today in Pokemon GO.

The time has come for the highly anticipated Christmas event that takes place in Pokemon GO every year. As always, players will have access to many interesting attractions.

The event was divided into two parts. The first one is available from today and will last for 7 days. So let’s take advantage of the bonuses and attractions because these will change next week.

Pokemon GO Holidays part one

The event starts on Thursday, December 16, 2021. The first part of the holidays in Pokemon GO will last until December 23 (Thursday). This is also when the second part will begin, which will end on December 31 (Friday).

On this occasion, the following attractions are planned:

  • The following creatures will appear in the wild: Pikachu, Swinub, Delibird, Stantler, Snorunt, Spheal, Snover, Vanillite, and Cubchoo. Anyone lucky will find Alolan Sandshrew and Cryogonal.
  • Some Pokemon will appear in holiday disguises. Their appearance is presented below.
  • During the raids, the event Pokemon will appear:
    • 1-Star raids: Pikachu, Alolan Sandshrew, Swinub, Spheal, Cubchoo,
    • 3-Star raids: Cloyster, Delibird, Stantler, Glaceon,
    • 5-Star raids: Kyurem,
    • Mega Raid: Mega Steelix.
  • The following Pokemon will be available from the Field Research event quests: Pikachu, Alolan Vulpix, Swinub, Stantler, Spheal, and Cubchoo. Anyone who is lucky will find Cryogonal.
  • Festive cosmetics for the player character will be available in the store.
  • Event stickers with a Christmas theme will be added to the game.

Additionally, the following bonuses will be active:

  • Players will be able to open as many as 45 gifts a day, and the backpack will hold 40 gifts that can be sent to friends.
  • Team GO Rocket members will have ice and water Pokemon.
  • Mega Abomasnow will receive a CP boost.

  • Catch 5 Ice Pokémon: Spheal
  • Win a raid with level 3 or higher: Cryogonal
  • Open 5 gifts: Pikachu, Stantler or Cubchoo
  • Catch 7 different species of Pokemon: Alolan Vulpix
  • Spin PokeStops or Gyms 3 times: Swinub
  • Send 3 gifts to friends: 3 x PokeBall, 3 x Razz Berry, or 3 x Pinap Berry
