You must have these items in the correct slot, otherwise they will not work. Welcome to LoL

Items dependent on a slot. This new bug appeared in patch 12.13.

On Wednesday, the new update 12.13 hit the official League of Legends servers. By default, there were some bugs, and players have already noticed the first of them.

It turns out that the items under the lethality do not provide the movement speed that they have guaranteed from the passive by the strange shoes bug. However, this can be avoided by putting them in a good slot in your inventory.

Shoes spoil the effects of objects

Just a few hours after patch 12.13 in the League, players have already reported the first bugs. This time it’s about lethality items and the stats they provide. For example, an item named “Eclipse” gives:

  • 55 AD
  • 18 Lethality
  • 7% Omnivamp
  • Passive: 4% Armor Penetration and 5 Movement Speeds for each Legendary item.

However, after today’s update, players discovered that it no longer grants 5 Mythic Passive Movement Speed when inserted to the left of where shoes are. The item with the most stats in the game now has a negative effect on it. It was shown in a video by Redditor Yasuicide:

As you can see, Yasuo plays 41 ms every day. However, if you transfer Eclipse to the slot to the left of the shoes, the movement speed is reduced to a base value of 390. This means the shoes must be in a lower numeric slot for the mythic to work.

Interestingly, players claim to have already reported this as the patch was only available on the Test Server. However, for two weeks, no one wanted to fix it, and now it could break thousands of games around the world. It is possible that due to a lot of hype and popular posts on Reddit, the developers will fix it quickly and issue a small hotfix.
