Winter map in LoL can’t return, but Diana’s skin can change map to its winter-style in a split second

LoL fans are surprised that Riot has introduced a skin to the game that affects the appearance of the entire Summoner’s Rift.

Many League of Legends players have been lamenting the fact that the game hasn’t featured a winter map for a couple of years, which had a great atmosphere and is mentioned with great nostalgia today. Riot explained that bringing back the snowy Summoner’s Rift is not so easy, because the matter is complicated by, among other things, elemental dragons, which directly affect the environment.

In the end, some people decided to go for fan-made solutions and tweak the map’s appearance in the files, but there’s no denying that this is not the same as playing together in avenues full of snow and Christmas decorations.

Many players are now shocked that the developers have explained so many times that the winter Summoner’s Rift is incredibly problematic, and at the same time released a skin that can change the look of the map in a split second. It is about the latest skin for Diana – Winterblessed. What does the discussed effect look like? What do you need to do to get it?

Winterblessed Diana and the winter map

Seven winter skins were revealed on November 15, and one of them will go to Diana. Why exactly is it so much talked about among the game community?

It turns out that this skin can change the map to a winter map. However, there is one condition – the player must get a pentakill to make it snow on Summoner’s Rift.

The effect can be seen in videos posted by a Riot employee. The effect, which is created after scoring a pentakill, lasts for several seconds and is visible to all players.

Riot Sirhaian wrote:

Let’s start with her Pentakill Map Effect! When she gets a Pentakill, the map becomes snowy and an Aurora appears overhead for a few seconds. Everyone sees this, but it is slightly toned down for everyone but Diana.

There’s no denying that the skin is really nicely done, and the developers made a great effort with its effects. The character has elaborate animations, whether it’s skills, dancing, jokes or returning to the base. After exiting the fountain, the character leaves behind an aurora borealis as part of the Homeguard animation, and when she hits a minimum of 2 enemies with her super-skill, her outfit takes on a purple hue.

The skin will hit the game along with patch 12.23, which is expected to be released on December 7, according to the official schedule from Riot Games.
