The only day at LoL when it was worth playing normals is over. The ranked players didn’t see it

It was probably the only day this year when it was nice playing normals. People who played rankeds only completely missed it.

Riot did its best this time. While giving up on a completely free emote, there were a lot of smaller and bigger jokes in LoL that made players curiously choose to play normal games, instead of the standard ranked ones.

Why? There were many small “events” in the game that affected players and Summoner’s Rift in different ways. For example, everyone probably saw a huge duck in the river:

But that’s definitely not all. Characters and minions often decreased in size. The dragon suddenly landed in the center of the map, minions turned into emotes, and more. Everything that could be encountered, was summarized in the video by “xiaohao18”:

Interestingly, players really praise it, and this happens very rarely in the LoL community. Something similar can be probably expected next year.

Players who have played rankeds all day, and there have been many such cases, can regret their choice the most. Hardly anyone was interested in normals, believing that Riot would do some other “prank”.

If someone completely ignored the information from Riot about trying to play, then, unfortunately, did not experience April 1st in its full glory.
