Taliyah replaced Vex in LoL? Gamers believe she handles fast champions much better

Taliyah has returned to the meta after the rework and is doing really well. Gamers say she has replaced Vex.

Taliyah, after having all of her abilities reworked and changed, is now back in the players’ favor and is seen a lot on Summoner’s Rift where she’s doing really well. Additionally, hardly anyone is complaining about her return to the meta, and the change is considered very positive.

However, there were also voices that against mobile characters she is much better than Vex, and she was supposed to be the perfect counter to jumping heroes.

Taliyah better than Vex

On Wednesday, May 11, an update was released on the official League of Legends servers, changing the Stoneweaver, practically forgotten since her premiere. Riot took the task of bringing her back to the meta and increasing the number of her mains. After more than a week, it can already be said that the developers have succeeded. Currently, her popularity oscillates around 14.3%, and she wins 51.1% of matches on average. Additionally, the group of people who ban her has increased to almost 18%.

Players, in particular, are excited about how the new Unraveled Earth works. Now it disappears after using “Q” on it, which means that the heroine can alternately use both one rock and the entire volley. Additionally, “E” is able to stop and impose the CC effect on dashing opponents. This is what makes her comparable to Vex.

The grim yordle was designed to stop mobile heroes with a passive that speeds up the “fear” stacks for each dash near her. She also has a shield that applies the above effect to all enemies around her (after loading the passive), so getting closer to her can be difficult and often results in death.

However, it takes a while to recharge fear, even if the hero is very mobile, like Yasuo. On the other hand, Taliyah’s “E” can be cast immediately and there is no need to wait, therefore there are voices on social media that she works much better than the younger heroine.

However, commentators quickly dispelled doubts that it did not quite work that way. It is not designed to hold back every mobile champion. She only has a higher win rate against them because they stack her passive, which makes her deal more damage and get rid of enemies more easily.
