Mythic items will get more changes and quite a few of them.
Introduced in the 2021 preseason, the new items received a lot of mixed reviews. Some liked them, while others could not get used to them. Especially when it came to mythics and the priority of building them.
This, however, is set to change. One staff member confirmed that they are considering improving them and making more of them. In addition, they will not necessarily have to appear in the inventory first.
Item update
At the beginning of 2021, a massive pre-season item update came to League of Legends. They were changed completely and the effect of Reducing Cooldowns was removed and replaced with Skill Acceleration. Since then, they have practically not been touched, except for balancing changes.
That may change, however. The developers’ plans were confirmed on Twitter by lead designer Matt “Phroxzon” Leung-Harrison. In the post, he mentioned the niche-filling BotRK, which many fragile characters often build first. According to him, this is not a problem and is not subject to a nerf because of it. In addition, he announced further changes in this category.
At this point it is unclear when this will happen. Rioter has not revealed any specific or approximate dates. Perhaps it will be the upcoming preseason, but these are just speculations.
