League of Legends developers have revealed the order in which minor champion updates will be released.
Minireworks, also called minor updates by Riot, are a form of champion refresh that is not as extensive as full VGUs. So the character model and all of its graphics are not changed, but the focus is on reworking the champion’s abilities to make it even more interesting for players.
Such a procedure allows somewhat forgotten heroes to get a new life and to enjoy interest from the community again. In the past year, quite a few minireworks of this type were released, the vast majority of which turned out to be a really good move on the part of the developers.
Rioters have mentioned that they don’t intend to stop and want to constantly refresh the champions who need it. Recently, one of the company’s employees revealed what the list of characters to receive a minor update looks like.
A list of future minireworks in LoL
Word has spread on the internet that one of the staff members – Riot Yasuna – has revealed the order in which future minor hero updates are to be released. It turns out that the creators want to first re-orchestrate Neeko, then Rell, and finally Ivern.
According to the aforementioned Rioter, the champions were listed just like that, because the developers believe they will be able to release each update in that order. However, this does not mean that it is 100% certain – Riot stresses that it is not making any promise, but only informing about its predictions.
The fact that Neeko will be refreshed first is unlikely to surprise anyone, as the developers revealed some time ago that they plan to revamp her. From the preliminary information, it seems that the designers would like the heroine to be able to change not only into other champions but also into interactive elements of the environment, such as wards or plants in the jungle.
The minirework will probably appear this spring, but the exact release date of the update is unknown.
Two more characters – Rell and Ivern – are characters who are not getting much attention from the community at the moment. Already some time ago it was said that both of them need some kind of redesign, especially when it comes to Rell – her fans have more than once appealed to Riot and pointed out many ill-conceived aspects of her skill set.

It’s interesting to note that currently Neeko and Ivern are the least selected champions from the entire Legion of Legends. Next to them, you can find Skarner – this one is also about to get a rework, although in his case it will be a full VGU.
